Waitomo Caves School


 

Nestled at the end of the Waitomo Valley in beautiful surroundings, Waitomo Caves School is a sole chargeschool with 14 students. It caters for students from Year 1 to 8. The school enjoys a high level of community support.

Relationships among teachers, students and parents are positive. These relationships combined with the attractive physical environment contribute to students receiving a good quality education in an environment that promotes their learning and wellbeing.

The school priority areas for teaching and learning are literacy, numeracy and the essential skills.

Students relate well to others and demonstrate developing social and cooperative skills. The staff promote these qualities through role modelling and focused teaching. The teachers' approach helps students to develop good self-management skills and independent work habits.
